Add or edit a user
Go to GLOBAL SETTINGS > Users, then you can click to create a new user.
The CREATE USER screen allows you to specify the users Login details, their personal information (including the Department created previously), as well as their role within the company.
Personal Information
Login Type - Users can be assigned a Login ID and Password, but TidyBuild also offers the convenience of using an existing third-party account, such as a WindowsLive ID, Google account, or even a Facebook account.
Fill in the LOGIN DETAILS and PERSONAL DETAILS sections, read Get started - Login info. to understand the meaning of these fields.
Select the roles you want to assign to each user. Each user can have multiple roles. To understand the definition of the roles, please hover your mouse over beside the role name, or read Global settings - Users - User roles.
The Login ID, Set Password, Confirm Password, First Name(s), Last Name, Department and Contact Email are mandatory fields. To find out how to set up Departments, read Global settings - Departments..
Finally, click the SAVE button. This creates a user that you can view in USERS screen. If you want to change user information later, please click to edit existing users.
Employment Contract
Select the employment contract type for each user and enter the TIMESHEET DETAILS. Enter the rate for this user.
If youve connected to a third-party payroll app, then you can enter the Employee Code and Department Code to map to the employee to the connected system. Click Save.
Invoicing information
In the Invoicing Information tab, you can add and set the default charge out rates for users to be displayed.
Clicking enables you to add an external charge rate to a user.
Clicking under the default column will set the chosen charge out rate as default for that user.
Adding a new user rate in the external charge rate screen will create a rate that can applied to the selected user only.
If you want to manage the Global Charge Rates, navigate to Charge Rates in the Global settings tab of your Tidy account.
Actions on Behalf
If you are a Resource Administrator, you will also see the Actions on Behalf tab within the edit user screen.
This is where you can give permission to enable users to act on behalf of another user within your Tidy environment. To learn more about Actions on Behalf in TidyBuild, read Global settings - Users - Actions on behalf.
