Add a new customer
If you are not using Xero, or need to add a new Customer to TidyStock that does not exist in Xero, you can add a new Customer manually using the New Customer button under the Global settings tab. If you import customers from Xero, read Global settings - Customers - Add or edit a customer (using Xero). This will open the Create Customer form, which includes three different tabs to capture important Customer information:
CUSTOMER INFORMATION - This tab is used for general information about the customer, including their Name and Physical/Postal addresses. You can also choose to map the new Customer to an existing Xero contact using the Xero Contact dropdown list (this list will be populated assuming you have completed the connection with Xero previously.

To select the correct country for a particular customer, you must first configure the countries that relate to your company in GLOBAL SETTINGS > Countries, read Global settings - Countries to check out how to add/edit countries.
If you want your customer to see the details of their sales, you can enable the Customer Portal to create a specific link to that customer. You can also email the link to that customer by simply ticking the box. Note that you need click the Customer Portal button to complete this step.
You can also add customer notes. Note, you can specify more than one Physical Address if your Customer has multiple delivery locations by clicking button to add additional addresses.
After completing all relevant fields, click SAVE.
SALES - This tab allows you to assign default values for currency, sales tax and pricing levels for the customer. You can also assign the customer a unique Invoice Due Date, if it is different from the company default:
You can also override the default Pricing Level for the Customer, Global settings - Pricing levels - Set up pricing levels for how to define pricing levels, and define custom invoice terms.
After completing all relevant fields, click SAVE.
CONTACT INFORMATION - Use this tab to add additional individual contacts for this Customer.
After completing all relevant fields, click SAVE.
Edit a customer
To edit a customer, simply click on and follow the steps above to change the customer information.
